A form design tool for creating Active Ink "Smart Forms". These forms combine the look and feel of a paper form and the intelligence of an electronic form by digitally capturing data using a variety of methods including typing, dictation and handwritten input. An Active Ink "Smart Form" incorporates all of the advantages of a digital form (document retrieving, printing, editing, searching, emailing, etc) and the handwriting recognition capability of the tablet PC.
The Form Designer is used to create a "Smart Forms" that incorporate text, check-boxes, drop down lists and signature boxes. It allows you to calculate numbers, validate data and pre-populate values that are entered into fields. This is the same design tool that Active Ink Software uses for creating custom forms and mobile applications.Once the form has been filled out, it can be saved and retrieved as a PC document, searched and retrieved from a database and exported into other applications.
